The National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) is pleased to announce its second intake for the Women Empowerment Programme (WEP) aimed at boosting leadership and business skills of women entrepreneurs in the construction industry.

This follows on from the success of the pilot programme initiated in 2013 that was completed by 20 women who are now in a six months mentorship phase of WEP.

The programme was created in partnership with the Gordon Institute of Business Science’s Enterprise Development Academy in order to empower women to build and further grow their enterprises.

This is in line with the NHBRC’s strategy to be a leader in knowledge creation, technical and technological building solutions through strategic partnerships.

The candidates will attend a four-month academic programme that entails training led by leading academics and key influencers in the industry which will be followed by a mentorship programme. Candidates will also be expected to develop comprehensive business plans and will be assessed for individual and company revenue growth.

The call for applications will close on October 13, 2014.
